I just built a AR15 and I'm new to this . Specs, Del-ton 16"LW complete upper,SA&a lower with dti lpk, Every thing was fine after about 20 rounds federal 55gr 223 ammo then i was getting ftf after every 2nd or 3rd shot . I broke it down checked everything took the bcg apart checked the springs, gas tube,everything. Took it back out and dumped a 20 round mag all was good. Loaded the same mag 20 rounds after the 2nd shot slow no dump the same thing .now what?

is the gas block pinned or set screw?

It's pinned. I just got off the phone with Del-Ton and they said try different types of ammo and mags. I already tried federal American eagle 55gr and federal 55gr from walmart.what other half decent ammo is there.

Is the federal ammo you tried m193 or is it a weaker loading?

Update, Went back to the range, new mags, different ammo, Same thing light primer strikes on some and not others but only every few rounds in no order. I chambered the ftf ammo and it worked. So now what any suggestions I'm stumped

I'm guessing you got a backwards upside down hammer spring

Take a look at the hammer spring, and confirm that the spring legs are coming out of the bottom of the coil then back over the top of the trigger pin.

The hammer spring is in correct just as shown in the picture. Is it not broken in yet, are the primers to hard, I'm clueless ?

Well call me the ass that i am . I took a second look at the hammer spring this time with my glasses on and low and behold it was in upside down.
Thanks to all for your advice!!! and not making an ass out of me for being new. I did that all by my self. Thanks again. Now its off to build my son one.
