So I decided to upgrade to a shiny new Young BCG yesterday. Unfortunately I was not aware the packaging it came in was not sealed . When transferring it to from car to house it fell out and landed right on the bolt face. Everything looks and functions fine as far as I can tell. Common sense tells me that it is stronger than a 3ft drop on concrete. Noob paranoia tells me my gun is going to blow up in my face on the first trigger pull.

What do you guys think? Anything I should take a closer look at? Any advice would be much appreciated. A firearm you don't trust is completely useless.

Sincerely,
All thumbs, bad luck, and paranoia

I'm pretty sure that the any round you fire with it will exert more force on it than the accidental drop. Seen plenty of them take a lot more abuse than that when I was in the Army.

You'll be fine. Any damage would be immediately obvious.    Is the driveway OK?

I figured that was the case. Thanks for the reassurance guys.

The driveway is doing much better today. Thanks for asking.

I dropped one and it landed right on the end of the carrier key bending the edge enough to where the gas tube woudln't go in it.

I always do that to all my parts to make sure they pass the drop test before I install anything on my gun... I did the same thing with my kids when they were born but the drop test did give them a bump on the head.... they didn't pass..... It will be fine just clean it up check for dings.. Im sure you won't have any......and go out and shoot the damm thing......Or send it to me Ill put 500 rounds try it and send it back when I sure it s done.....make sure if your using old parts with a new bolt check your headspace.... Since Im assuming you are installing it on a older rifle.......
