Have a 2 stage NM trigger that originally was excellent.  Now first stage has inconsistent pull.  Probably varies at least a pound and at times feels crap. Second stage is fine.  Re-lubed this a couple of times with recommended product, used their instructions and worked at adjusting......just can't get this one to smooth out.  Any recommendations before I send it down the road and install something else?

I consider that trigger a menace.

The BM NM trigger is a notoriously troublesome trigger.  There are so many better options out there right now.  I have one on my BM Varminter.  Sometimes it has a first stage, sometimes it doesn't.  It depends on how much lube or grime is on it.

I wouldn't spend a penny on it.  The first replacement option is a Gessiele trigger and goes down from there.  An economical way to get a really good trigger is to buy a $10 GI trigger (single stage) or an $80 RRA NM trigger and send it to Bill Springfield.  His trigger jobs are amazing.
