I have a Stag Arms Model 2.  A couple of months ago I replaced the stock fore end with a LaRue 11" free float rail.  I torqued the LaRue barrel nut per specs. (30 ft. Lbs.) installed the rail, torqued the Allen screws on the anti rotation piece (30 in. Lbs) and have put about 300 rounds down the set-up.

Needed some minor adjustments to my Aimpoint M4 and Troy front and rear sights.  The usual stuff.  Shot very good after the adjustments.

Tomorrow I am heading to the range (maybe) for a little fun and while I was putting some rail covers on a section of the rail I squeezed the barrel and the rail at the same time (just for fun) and the barrel flexed about 1/8 th inch. I don't think it was the rail flexing.
I broke the weapon apart, removed the BCG and flexed it again while looking down the breach end.  I saw no movement or any indication that anything was not seated correctly, nada.

Is this normal on an M-4 profiled 16" barrel???

NEVER MIND.  ADDITIONAL RESEARCH HAS ANSWERED MY QUERY. YES IN DEED THE BARREL WILL FLEX.
DON'T PUT A SLING ON A FREE FLOAT BARREL.  ACCURACY WILL BE VERY INCONSISTANT.

Barrel flex is dependent on what profile barrel you have but on the pencil barrels and some of the Gov profile I have heard with a rifle strap just the pressure of the strap around your arm can cause  the bullet to be out of aim to a point... that s why on match rifles the barrels are thicker and stronger...Even hand gaurds can cause some flex when used with a Bi-pod
