Swapped out my front sight with a clamp on.  Went to site it in and and ran out of windage adjustment still needed another 2 inches.  Today I finally got a chance to loosen the screws and moved the site over some.  What I'm worried about is I moved to much in the other direction.  So does anyone have any advice on lining the site up.  Kinda want to line this up and be done with it.

Center the rear for windage and trial and error the front. There is no other way to do it that I know of.

Um, bring the tools to adjust the sight so you can do it at the range?

Center the rear windage first (obviously).

Support the upper in a rest lined up on a vertical line that is out there a ways.
Level the upper as precisely as possible.
Center the vertical line in the bore.
With zero windage line up the front sight on the vertical line.
Check level on the front sight and the upper with a good level. They should be the same.
