This is my problem. I went to fire my first build AR chambered first round pulled trigger and bang no issues. Pulled trigger a second time click nothing. I then tried to put the weapon in safe. It would not move so I pulled charging handle my first round never extracted, So next i manuelly loaded another round pulled trigger click still nothing. After further examination I could even see where the firing pin hit the primer. Any help you guys out there could ofer would be great |

What type of setup are you running? Carbine or rifle. What type of stock are you running, fixed or collapsible? What type of gas sytem are you running? Type of ammo?
IF the hammer isn't re-cocking I would guess the bolt/carrier isn't traveling to the rear far enough to pick up the next round. This can be caused by leaks in the gas system either at the gas block/gas port in the way they are aligned, or at the gas key on the bolt if it is not properly tightened and staked in place. Sometimes the retaining pin for the gas tube can take a walk also, which will cause no gas to be vented to the rear. Another possibility is the buffer/spring/tube is contributing to the problem by preventing the buffer and bolt carrier from traveling far enough rearward. This can be caused by a rifle spring or buffer being used in a carbine length tube. Also some of the urethane buffer pads that are sold on the market to "reduce battering" actually prevent proper function, by reducing travel too much. Light firing pin marks on the primer are normal for a floating firing pin even when just chambering a round. You may also want to look at the bolt/carrier assembly and make sure the firing pin and firing pin retaining pin are installed correctly. |

"chambered first round pulled trigger and bang no issues. Pulled trigger a second time click nothing"
That does not sound good. The BCG cycled so gas was working, locked back into battery so buffer and recoil spring doing their job. The second trigger pull clicked so the connector, hammer and trigger did their job correctly. The fact that the next round did not strip and jam in the breech means you have a mag problem among all else. "I then tried to put the weapon in safe" The safety selector will not move to safe position until the hammer is cocked. "so I pulled charging handle my first round never extracted" Sounds like a whimpy exracter spring. How did you get the casing out? "next i manuelly loaded another round pulled trigger click still nothing" I would try a new firing pin. What ammo were you trying to shoot? A firing pin put a dent in the primer just by loading a round. I would check to see if youy assembled the trigger and hammer springs correctly. What kind of kit hobby gun do you have there. None of my 9 ARs ever acted like that. |

Often / usually you get a small dimple on the primer when an AR feeds a round and the firing pin slams into the primer . That may be what you are seeing .
Are you sure the bolt is coming far enough back to cock the hammer ? Have you lubed everything ( especially the BCG really well / wet ? ) God bless Wyr |
