| Hey there folks, so I don't know a whole hell of a lot about AR's, I know enough to break it down and clean it, but today I was out shooting after a nice and thorough cleaning job. I shot my first mag without any issues. I switched over to my PMAG, racked the bolt, squeezed the trigger...nothing. I ejected that round, but it happened again! After the third racking, the damn thing fired. When I was done shooting, I was clearing my chamber. With no mag (and no round) in the chamber, I racked the bolt, squeezed the trigger and the hammer did not even drop! I tried it again, same result. I tried one more rack, I squeezed the trigger and the hammer fell (after about 3 seconds of holding the trigger down). Any of you folks ever heard of such weird shit happening with an AR. I am so f*$%@# frustrated, I bought this AR at a gunshow, suppossedly "brand new," but I have had nothing but f@*&%# problems with it! When I brought it out the first time, the bolt would not hold open after the last round exited the chamber. After I took it to 3 gunsmiths, the fourth one looked down the buffer tube with a good flashlight and pulled outy a f*&%@#$ piece of steel wool rolled up! I haven't taken it out once without some stupid malfunction happening. Sorry, guys, I'm just pissed. I'm even more frustrated because I don't have the knowledge to fix the damn thing myself! Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

Blown primer part hiding under the trigger and you will need to pull the hammer and trigger to fish it out.
Go to the first page of the site (ar15.com) and on the bottom left hand side, you will find the Guide to pull just such (lower assembly). P.S, when you go to reinstall the disco spring, large side coil goes down into the trigger slot. |
