I am having an issue with an ar-15 shoving the bullet back into the case on about every 1 out of 10 rounds when shooting quickly any suggestions would be helpful

Check the feed ramps for smoothness and inspect the mags for quality, or lack of.

Low feeding out the mags, and the bullet tip striking the lower receiver below the feed ramps.

Pull the mags and clean them for starters, and if needed add another turn on the mag catch.

Also, if you are trying to run HP's, or running cheap clone mags, that there in it's self could be the problem.  Cheap mags are know not to feed for shit, and some rifle that do not have the extended M-4 feed ramps do not do well with hollow points.

Lastly, confirm that the rifle is full stoking correctly, hence the bolt locking back on the bolt catch after the last shot.

I wonder if have an M4 cut upper receiver with a standard barrel extension could cause this issue.

Just something else to check out.
