Has any one noticed some correlation with rifle accuracy, and barrel nut torque?
Just wondering what is the most preferred torque others use? I have a D.D. light rail so gas tube was not an issue

I have not done any testing to confirm, but I have read several times that you want to stay in the low end of the recommended range (like 30-40 ft-lbs if possible).  I have gotten great accuracy results when doing this, but have not done specific testing to see if I would get worse results with higher torque.

I don't think you have a lot of choice as far as barrel tighness goes. If you tighten the barrel nut to at least 30 ft./lbs. and go to the next notch for the gas tube, that's what you're going to have. The next notch might be at 31ft./lbs. or at 60ft./lbs. It all depends on how the barrel nut indexes.

+35 ft lbs, but no more than 80 ft lbs is going to get the best you want.

Less than that and the barrel may be moving in the upper receiver barrel socket.
More than the max and you chance twisting/bending/cracking the upper barrel receiver and socket.
