| The front sight post on a flat top upper is canted to the right somewhat so I have to adjust the rear sight windage off of center to zero it. Is there away to move the front sight post over slightly to center? |

Confirm if the front sight base is either taper pin is place, or if it used side set screws. If FSB set screws, the loose the screws and adjust the FSB.
If taper pin installed, then lets attacked that problem. Shotgun the upper open, and compare the center of the feed ramps to the center of the front take down lug. If the center of the feed ramps is canted in the same direction as the FSB, then you can slip the entire barrel in the upper receiver barrel socket correct the mis index (barrel slipped in the upper socket when installed). To slip the barrel back, hold only the upper receiver (off the lower) with one hand on one leg, lay the barrel across your other leg, and then use a Leather mallet (will not mar) to strike the FSB just above the barrel to slip the entire barrel in the upper receiver the needed rotation. As for how far to slip the barrel back, a bit of life fire with the rear sight set dead center, and a few minor mallet adjustments will have you golden. If the center of the feed ramps is dead center of the front take down lug, and the FSB is canted alone (tape pin installed), then the upper/barrel should be sent back to the manufacture for warranty repair. |

Dano523,
I gave it a try, the front sight post is pinned so clamped the upper behind the barrel in a vise with rubber jaw covers. Rather than a mallet used a big crescent wrench with a rag over the jaws and twisted the front sight post, felt the barrel twist slightly, does look straight now. Thanks, Ron |
