I have a RRA that I have approx 200 rounds through - been running great. But today I had two consecutive FTE and since its like a ka-zillion degrees here in Texas I decided to get back home and see who out here may know what's up?

Below is the scenario in virtual order too.

- First outing - 60 rounds - no issue - PMC 55 grain brass
- 2nd outing - 120 rounds - no issues - PMC 55 grn brass
- Cleaned it per QUIB's instructions - Friday

Today however: (first time fired after cleaning)
- new PMAG w/ window - first time to use
- used old stock shells (friend gave me 300 rounds of 55 grn from various Mfg'rs - stuff he gathered over the years before he sold his AR - all brass and commercial not handloads) - but not the PMC as fired per other outings.
- loaded first Mag with 20 rounds and it fired all 20 without an issue - remarkably accurate rifle too by the way.
- 2nd new Mag (different than the first) - 20 rounds loaded - BAM fires 1 round and it FTE - stuck in there - need cleaning rod to punch out.
- Reload, fires 1 round and BAM - another immediate FTE - round fires but will not eject.
- Hotter than hell out there - and left the range

Note - I also test fired a new LMT I just bought - used differnet (new) PMAGs and same "old" 55 grn brass - fired 60 rounds without a flaw.

So I may have too many variables in here - but not sure if it was the magazine, the cleaning, the older rounds (odd since first mag of 20 fired fine), or perhaps I have an issue with my rifle - but something happened because I had two consecutive FTE both after a full 20 round mag was fired. I do see the spent casing having a dent in the primer (but not before I loaded it - I inspected to see if these were damaged and they are not).

What say you? What can I look at and/or troubleshoot to see what's happening. I have a spent casing stuck in the barrel as I type but hoping someone can help?

Please...
