Was wondering if anyone would have some input on this. after a thirty round mag my bolt does not lock back, does anyone know the cause of this. My rifle is a car upper with a stag lower 16". Does this about 75% of the time now. Rifle is fairly new with 1500 rds through it. The first 1000 went flawless.        THanks      Also I did replace the bolt lock with a double paddle one wouldn't think it would make a difference though?????

Try another magazine that you know works , you might have a weak magazine spring.
Does the bolt release move freely when the bolt is locked back?  If not it could be binding

Can you manually lock the bolt back?  Does it do it every time or occasionally? It could be binding or not running wet enough.  Make sure it is properly lubed and try a couple of different mags in it to test.  Could be too dry or a bad mag.  Just my .02

Look no further. Could be anything from mixing up the spring/detent order on reassembly to a bent/out of spec/improperly heat treated part.

Yes I can manually lock the bolt back. Have tried different mags,c products, allumiunum, and p-mags. The p-mags do not do it as often but still do occasionally.
