My RSBR is having issues.

The bolt catch is engaging at seemingly random intervals for no apparent reason.  This is with my 7.62x39 upper and with my 7.5 inch 5.56 upper.

I'm thinking the bolt catch spring is worn out.  What do you think?

Probably the catch follow tab is catching a round as it coming up in the mag (tab too long),

Or, the ejection side of the catch is too far over, and catching the carrier all by it's self in the down position (read need to raduis the right hand corner a bit).

The catch spring really doesn't do much, and can't see if wearing out unless the receiver has a high round count (read 40K or better, and never replace at a standard servicing), and the rifle has problem will excess recoil.

Do you have another lower to compare it against?

Registered Short Barrel Rifle, therefore can't use the short uppers on other lowers.  However, the 7.62 upper is not behaving similarly on other lowers.

Additionally, this SBR has been around for a few years.  Maybe 6K rounds through it.  This is a new phenomenon.
