I was shooting today and shot 30 rounds of factory loads (fed) with no problems.  2nd mag with reloads that I have shot before with no problems, and it would shoot one round and eject, but would not load next round.  Switched back to factory rounds and was ok for a while, then it started doing it on the factory rounds.  Got back home and noticed the screws for the carrier key were loose.  Would this cause the problem if they were loose?  Also I tighten them back up, are the carrier key screws suppose to be torqued to a specific amount?  Its a 16" Del-ton rifle.  Thanks.

Loose carrier key would definately cause that issue.

Yep. A loss of gas pressure.

It takes more that just re tightening the screws to 37 in lbs to make sure that that stay that way.

I had the same problem on a piston rifle and it was directly related to gas pressures.  The gas key is likely the issue and staking them is a must.

Thanks everyone for the help.  I followed Quib's instructions and got it staked more than what it was.  Its not as pretty as the pictures in Quib's write up, but it will hopefully work.  Thanks again.
