Hey guys. I am having a problem with my 6920. When I charge the rifle everything is dandy until I pull the trigger. Nothing happens. No click. When I charge the rifle slowly, I feel the hammer catch the disconnector, but barely. Then as I finish charging the rifle it continues to "lock past the disconnector" so when I pull the trigger it doesn't disconnect.
Just out of messing around with the situation I opened the rifle up and tapped on the hammer with the end of a screw driver and it gets passed that point of "no return" and locks in where it should. Then I pull the trigger and it fires. Then I charge the rifle again and it happens all over again. Side note: When the hammer is in the correct place, you barely have to pull the trigger to release the hammer, like the disconnector is barely holding on to the hammer. Thanks in advance for the help! Erik |

Disco should release the hammer just before the trigger comes back to rest.
If the disco is releasing the hammer before this point, pull the disco and confirm that there is not debris between the front/bottom of the disco and the top of the trigger. Also, if you do pull the disco spring, it installs large coil side down into the back trigger slot. http://www.ar15.com/content/guides/assembly/lower/ |
