All,

I just bought my 6th (and probably last, post election) lower.   In no way am I am a definitive expert in the BRD but have a respectable collection including LMT's, RRAS, Stags and Bushys.  It was a complete Mega Machine lower that I bought on Gunbroker from a pretty reputable seller, but I dont know if he assembled it or if is was factory, etc.

Regardless, it does not drop the hammer-the trigger won't engage the hammer until you either a) pull the trigger multiple times until it releases to a "2nd stage" (for lack of a better description) and then pull again and it drops the hammer, or b) tap on the top flat portion of the trigger with a screwdriver, etc and then it "notches up" and again you pull the trigger and it will drop the hammer.

The back portion of the trigger appears to be about 1mm + longer than the rest of my lower's triggers.  Whattup with this?  Any ideas?  Replace the entire trigger group, just the trigger itself, etc?  Is this trigger out of spec?  Let me know any thoughts you have.  As you can probably guess I want to go blasting with this youngest child, but it is not working at the present time.  Many thanks in advance.

I had the same problem with a Mega lower and RRA LPK. It ended up being an out of spec hammer.

Edited to add, and I think we may have a winner, the trigger is completely tucking under the "notch" on the hammer whereas the rest of my lowers do not.  They stop about 1mm or so short of where the end of the hammer would be.  If anyone else will confirm, I guess i will have to replace my hammer.

Thanks for the quick reply!
