I'm having trouble zeroing my BUIS.  I have a cheap UTG rear flip-up and the standard front sight tower - I'm using the large aparature and sighting at 50 yards - I print a 1" group at 50 yards, and when I take it out to 100 yards, my point of impact has moved up 6-8 inches and left 3-4 inches.

I'm using Black Hills 55gr. .223 ammo, with a 16" .750 non-M4(heavy) bbl.

What am I doing wrong?

I would tell you to use the small aperture to zero and not the big one.

In the ARMY they taught us that the big aperture was for low light and close quarters shooting and shooting with your pro-mask on. It's not that accurate to use though.

Tried sighting with the small aparture - same trouble.  Dead-on at 50yds, 6-8 inches high at 100.  Will it actually drop that far at 200yds?

Regardless, I'm going to get rid of the sight - I was only going to use it as a back-up, but I haven't purchased my EOTech yet, so it had to function as my primary.  It's already flipping back from the recoil of the rifle - it's useless.

Sorry about the ramble - and thanks for the bit of advice.

Next time I'll try a decent sight.
