hey all. i have a del-ton rifle i built, my first one, it fires and works fine but usually the first round or two it has trouble loading the round into the chamber. i pull the charging handle back and let it go and it will partially grab the round, but will get stopped by it, then i pull it back again, let it go, the round moves a bit further, then again, and finally it goes into the chamber. it does this for the first two or three rounds. anyone know why? ive used several different mags with different mag followers and it still does this. thanks

I am having this same exact problem with my retro build!  Can you please repost the buffer spring specs QUIB?  Thank you!

Thanks QUIB.  Mine is about 12.75" long but since I bought it at a gun show out of a "spare parts" box, I just ordered a new one to see if that fixes the problem (fingers crossed).

Have you cleaned the chamber?  Has lacquer coated ammo (Wolf) been used?  The lacquer will melt and deposit in the chamber.  Heat from firing will melt it and allow subsequent rounds to chamber.
