I just went shooting again over the weekend. Again, the little pin just above the trigger on my AR15 keeps slowly wiggling itself out to the point the gun stops firing. I look at hte gun and see the pin has pushed itself out so the trigger wont fire. I simply push it back into place and I'm good to go. It happens every 2 clips MAGAZINES! or so, about 60 rounds. The dealer where I bought it said this can happen. 1. It that bull or not? 2. Is there a way to keep it from lossening up? 3. Is there a better one I can purchase online? Thanks for understanding if this is a noob question.... I'm a noob! |

The hammer spring legs should be riding on top of the trigger pin, with the leg of the hammer spring in the annular grove of the pin. This is what retains the trigger spring inside the receiver hole. If the spring is installed correctly (legs of them are on top of the trigger spring, then either the spring leg is too large to correctly ride in the grove (read just semi knife point the bottom of the leg with a file), or the groove just needs to be widened a hair (read chuck the pin up in a drill, and widen the side groove with a jewelers file). |
