[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Cycling problem need help

I just bought a uesd stag barrel off EE and mounted it up. Low profile gas block with PRI fatboy gas tube, stag 16" M4 profile barrel 1/9 carbine gas system. I put it together and fired it and it would not cycle the next round. Took it apart, took measurements, inspected all openings, reassembled fired same problem. What you guys think? Thanks in advanced for help. Norcal

edited: Blackhills 62 grain HP reman ammo no problems in other ar.
edited: It did not pick up the next shell in the mag, but ejected the spent round.

i'd ditch the fat boy gas tube first, try a standard carbine gas tube

when you say it didn't cycle, what happened?

did the bolt not move at all? did it not eject right? or did it just not pick up the next round from the magazine?

more information please.

Ditto, ditch the fat boy tube.

Also, confirm that you have aligned the gas block port with the barrel gas port and that your getting flow through both the gas tube to barrel bore and the key to the carrier gas chamber.
