| Took my Colt AR out to shoot today and on the second magazine it failed to eject a spent casing. The bolt retracted far enough to strip a new round from the magazine, resulting in a sort of double feed. Rifle has <300 rounds through it and was running Remington UMC. Not meaning to bash Colt, just looking for ideas. I'm pretty new to ARs. Underpowered round maybe? |

This was the 1st and only time this happened. The bolt has locked back at the end of every mag. I clean the rifle after every session; however, I might not be oiling it correctly. Should an o-ring have come with the extractor or is that an aftermarket enhancement? Thanks. |
After market, and may be more of a band-aid for other problems than an enhancement depending on the application of why it is being added. |
