I just got a stag lower with a mil spec buffer tube. I wanted to put on an ACE ARFX stock I had laying around. It went on fine. However, when I went to remove, it wouldn't budge. It feels like the stock is lodged in my upper somehow. I tried pouring CLP on the buffer tube, still no dice. What are my options with regards to removing the stock withouth destroying the buffer tube?

Thanks!

If the stock tube was tight going on the receiver extension (read had to bang it on), it's going to take a rubber mallet to get it back off.

Just make sure that you pulled the butt stock screw before “Massaging” the butt stock off the receiver extension with the mallet.

Thanks Dano.
That did the trick. It's incredible how hesistant one is to use a mallet on a weapon.

Good thing that you have never seem me at the bench in full action on a stuck part; you would think that my start to manhood was clubbing harbors seals for a career!!!!

Trust me, I wear out leather and rubber mallets on a grand scale, and that’s not counting what I throw at the new grommets when they get something sideways.  Nothing says disapproval of ones work better than receiving a rubber mallet between the shoulder blades from across the shop (hell, that was the way I was trained, so why stick with what works).
