| The last time I took my sp1 out to shoot, it would fire a round or two then jam seemed like the extractor would not pull out the spent case ( I was using cheap ammo), but I did not think the ar-15 was that sensitive. I cleared the spent shell a couple times and the last time it went into full auto then jammed again. Any thoughts as to my problem? Any info. would be of great help. |
| I had a chance to talk to a gunsmith, first thing he asked is what ammo. I told him and he said that was the problem. Because of the laquer on the shell of wolf when shot causes the problem. I thought it might be the ammo, because never had the problem until I bought this kind and have not had a chance to try another since. As far as the full auto problem he would have to take a look at it. |
Being that the rifle is a SP-1, as long as you are cleaning and lubing (CLP) the rifle correctly, the Wolf ammo should not be a problem (read make sure that you are using a chamber brush at barrel/chamber cleanings). As for the full auto problem, chances are it's a disconnector problem. Best guess is a New FCG install or just retuning the disco may be the solution if the sears are still in working order (replacement if it has the off-style Colt disco). |
