I have a slight problem, the ejected brass hits very little on brass deflector, it hits near the lip of the ejection port. I dont want to wear out there, it there anything I can do to make the brass hit more on the brass deflector?

  Thanks Bri

1. Does the bolt lock back on the bolt catch after the last round out of the mag has been fired?

2. Does the  front face of the bolt retract back past the back edge of the ejection port when the charging handle is pulled all the way back?

Pull the extractor off the bolt, then take a small file and clean up the burs on the claw side bearing edges and the rim releif channel.

With the burs, the spent case is not cleanly release at end of stroke (sticks a bit longer to the burs during the pivot), sending/pivoting the spent case off the back of the ejection port instead of the deflector.

This is perfectly normal!  You won't wear out anything!!  The wear in this area is self limiting.

Don't even worry about it, Cleatus!

If you wear a hole in your upper, I'll personally guarantee it!!  (unless it's an OLYMPIC ARMS!)
