Hello, New to the group and I have a problem. My new bushmaster after 300 rounds of Wolf is missing the end of the charging handle...the hole that the gas key goes through is now a half circle. The tang has been completely ripped of. I called bushmaster who were wonderful but had no idea as to why this may have happened. I bought the gun new and never had it appaert until today when i went to clean it. I left the range last week thinking everything was fine. Closed the bolt on an empty chamber when I left the range. Today I attempted to check the chamber before disassembly and the charging handle wouldn't catch. That's when I took it appart and sure enough the tip was ripped off. Anyone have any thoughts? upgrade to a forged charging handle here forged hadles tend to torque less when a tac latch is used as well. just a side benefit. YMMV. |
