I bought a kit in late April and just got a chance to take it to the range today. After doing a barrel break in (shoot, clean, shoot, clean, etc) for the first 20 rounds, I decided to move up to three shots between cleaning. That's when I noticed a potentially dangerous situation.

After firing the first shot the rifle ejects the spent case and chambers another round but then the  trigger locks up. As I lifted my cheek off the stock slightly in a "WTF" kinda way the trigger resets. My mistake was that I still had my finger on the trigger and it lights off the second round. Weapon malfunction and operator error combined!  I break the rifle down, and when I don't see anything obvious I decided to proceed with caution with the following results.

First round fires
Rifle ejects and loads
Trigger "locks up"

At this point if you move selector to "safe" the trigger clicks, moves forward slightly and is then reset. If you clear the weapon you can also reset by squeezing the trigger once or twice.

After this happens about 10 times I decided to try to fire it by slapping the trigger kinda like "bump firing" but only one round at a time, in other words, not following through with the trigger pull. The rifle empties a 30 round magazine without a problem. I then insert another magazine and fire all 30 rounds shooting normally without a problem. I shoot about 60 more rounds before leaving and I felt the trigger "reset" after release maybe 3 times.

It's a 20" A2 from JT on a RRA lower with Colt FC as per JT's description.

Any ideas?

the middle hammer hook is binding on the hook of the disco, you can lube it, smooth it, or shoot it in.
