[ARCHIVED THREAD] - detach rear sight problem.

a while back i got a flat top AR (no name) and a detachable carry handle. last night i tried to bore sight it at 50 yds but i have the rear sight all the way to the right and it's still not in line with the bore. the front sight does not look canted.
can i use a piece of copper or aluminum foil to shim the right side of the carry handle to help move it over?

more likely that the barrel is installed crooked. you need to rotate the barrel back into its proper orientation.

What are the markings (elevation) on the detachable carry handle?

there is a funny looking AA on the side.
