| Hi all, just finish mating my NM lower to my RRA m4 upper. (Took upper this from my other complete RRA m4) Of course very tight fit.. Now I cannot separate upper from the lower. Any special techniques you can recommed? Thanks |

If you mean that you can't get the upper to shotgun open, Then grab the front hand guard just behind the tower with one hand, the butt stock just behind the receiver with the other hand, and with a downward blow, strike the opening of the mag well on top of your thigh. Just remember to have the bolt in the locked position, and the rear take down pin all the way over. If you mean that the upper won't pivot off the lower at the ears, then a piece of leather (belt) in between the hand guard and the front of the mag, and just use the leather to make a quick light camed motion to allow the leverage to pop the front take down lug to un-wedge it out of the ears. Or the belt and a rubber mallet will work also. Just remember to get something wedged between the two to prevent marring of the top when it pivots all the way forward. |
