I've read claims about how the Counterpoise buffer smooths out the cycling / felt recoil on an AR15. I don't see any discussion on this product here and would appreciate your empirical thoughts and comments.

Basically the system is a solution for a problem that doesn't exist.
The ar-15 has very little recoil, but makes a lot of noise. If you want to tame the perceive recoil, then all that would be needed it to install a sound suppressor to loose the bark.
