Is it true I need 3 hands to install a new ej. spring?????  I wuz only born w/two!!!   I thought there was some info here but i haven't found it yet  Thanks

You do need a vise. At least I do...

Clamp the bolt in so that you can drive out the ejector roll pin. I use a jeweller's screwdriver, with the business end cut off, for this job. *Note: It's just a hair smaller than the hole the roll pin fits into...

Start tapping the rollpin out, and try not to lose the little bugger. That will leave the screwdriver in the bolt, holding the ejector in.

Grab a large punch, and hold the ejector in the boltface. Carefully pull the SD out, and slowly remove the ejector itself. Caution is advised!

To reinstall, just press the ejector back into the bolt using the punch, and jam the screwdriver in to hold it.  

Then, simply use the roll pin to force the SD back out, finishing the job.

Simple as pie, just wear safety glasses 'in case'!

I had to do that for just the same reason. Just be carefull, the ejector's under a lot of pressure.
