I am trying to install a ACE ARFX skeleton stock on my Bushmaster. It is an Extremely tight fit, needing a hammer for the last inch, haven't hit it yet. My extension tube O.D. is 1.115" and the skeleton stock I.D. is 1.115" (front) and 1.114" (rear). Can anyone tell me if my extension tube is oversized or my skeleton stock is undersized? Does anyone have either part they can measure?

I had the same problem.

What I did was put the stock screw through the butt plate into the buffer tube, then tighten it just a bit, wait a while, tighten it some more, wait a while...etc.  After a few minutes the stock was flush with the receiver.

Just be sure not to get too aggressive with your wrench; you don't want to over-stress the threads in the buffer tube.

Guys,
My only question is how do you plan on separating the two if needed?????

Used a rubber mallet. I put it on for a test fit, without the foam, then realized it was getting tight. I had to hit it with a rubber mallet to get it off, then to get it all the way on again (with foam in place) I had to hit it again.

Damn, I hit it!

All good replys, but has anyone had the chance to measure the receiver extension tubes O.D. and the ACE skeleton's stock opening I.D.? Mine is way past snug, once on it won't be comming off!
I believe my Bushmaster extension tube O.D. at 1.115" is on the high side or 'over' on spec.

Had to use a small rubber mallet to get mine on also. Line it up get it started and give it a few hits.

I took mine back to where I got it from and got a new one and that one went right on without hammering or anything.  btw, I love that stock.  Their other products look pretty cool too, especially for the AK.  They have a new peep sight set up that allows the mounting of red-dot scope on top that I'm interested in trying, along with Galil/FN style folders.
