Alright so I bought one of these and I am getting last round in Mag FTF.It seems the last round is releasing too early and the bolt is closing midway on cartridge mangling it pretty bad or ejecting it completely out of rifle and closing on empty chamber.Classic bad mag malfunction right? ,but the Fab10 is fixed mag. Please spare me the Kalibashing and lets hear from actual owners or someone who can offer solutions which are LEGAL.Is this normal Break-in?I will contact manufacturer and see what they have to say but I really want to hear from owners.T.I.A.

Bladewurk,

I'm happy to say that the only thing around my house/shop that is fixed is the wife.

Regarding your rifle, I'm clueless!!!!

I know that Maryland has it's own AR site/group, and considering the hell that Ca is putting you guys threw, maybe Goatboy will give you poor bastards a forum of your own.

With the current pace of the every changing laws in your state, I can see that in no time, the most popular post being on the topic of how to change the rubber bands on your soon to be, only legally allowed weapon, the slingshot.

Have built a few of these for customers and have the following comments.  If I understand your  post correctly you FAB is ejecting the last round and not locking back the bolt group.  The firing of the last round and the bolt not closing on an empty chamber is the way the weapon is designed to function.  If the bolt locked back ala a real AR you would not be able to open the reciever for a reload (the carrier would be inside the recoil spring tube).  My only concern that I share with my customers is that the chamber should be checked for clear after the "click" on the last trigger pull.  If the rare chance of a hangfire were to occur with the reciever open, the bolt carrier and associated parts will no doubt be launched into the stratosphere (or worse).  Your second malfunction where the last loaded round is jamming part way into the chamber is as you noted a classic "mag problem".  The green followers were supposed to prevent these type of malfunctions, but ???  I would check the mag lips for distortions.  Check the follower to see if it is hanging up (especially at the rear).  If there is a problem the manufacturer may help with a replacement mag, but if not you can remove the rivet holding the mag in the well and replace the mag with another colt 10 rounder.  Be sure to replace the rivet as you will be in violation until the mag is no longer "removeable" (per Cal DOJ).  Good luck.
