| At the range today I encountered a problem with one of my mags, a GI 20 rounder. The bolt would stay open with the last round sitting on top of the follower (not in the mag), with the previous round being ejected. This occurred when I loaded two or more rounds. The bolt always stayed open with the last round sitting on top of the follower. Any suggestions? |

The last round is popping out too early. This allows the bolt catch to grab and stop the bolt before it chambers the last round. Put one round in the mag and examine how the lip of the mag holds the round. Usually, bending the lip down to compensate for wear or deformation will fix the problem. It doesn't take much. Put the second round in the mag and examine the other lip also. |
