I have a new FN hammer forged chrome lined barrel. What is the best way to remove the packing oil/preservative without damaging it?

I use either Alcohol or Kerosene and have for over 40 years now, then I run patches and a brush through them, then oil a patch or two and run it through them.
It takes a lot of damage a chrome lined barrel.

some hoppes 9, ed's red, kerosene, basic other gun solvent you have for any number of guns, let it sit for 15 minutes, then run patches through it till clean. it's nothing special.

Very hot, nearly boiling water, dried off right away with compressed air and a hair dryer? Apply proper CLP right away.
Probably not the best way, but it works well for me.

Hoppe's No. 9 is all l use.
Clean inside the barrel in the normal manner and use a tooth brush on the exterior.
