SL Stock fit > Build It Yourself

The Magpul sl stock I just bought has a very tight fit on the tube. The tube is mil spec and so is the stock. Is it supposed to be so tight you have to put a little force into it to adjust?

Yup, mine was extra tight (on two different tubes). Not a fan of that stock. Got the SL-K now (which is a hair loose).

yep - tight - put some cap on tube and slide a few dozen times - mine is tight but smooth now

I actually had to remove material to get mine on the 6933 upper.
It does not come off easy.Too tight , but on there for now.

mine was super-tight when brand new, but after a while i guess it stretched a little, now it's just pretty snug tight.

I'm in the process of replacing all of my m4 stocks because they rattle around something fierce. I got a sl-k, it has no rattle, but not tight. I got a hogue, now that's tight! Just ordered a couple mission first minimalist stocks today, hope they are tight.
Anyways, you got lucky if your stock is tight. Maybe lube it with Clp?

I just used one for the first time and yes it is very tight but that is a good thing.

You will love the fit of the mission first tactical stock. The hole on the top lines up perfectly with the index numbers on Spikes Tactical receiver extension (buffer tube) also which is another plus.

Same. It will loosen (barely) with use but it's tight to reduce rattle.

Yes, thats how both of mine are. I like it a lot better than the "normal" fit ones that rattle around a bit

My SL stock fits just a hair loose (PSA buffer tube). I really don't notice it.
