Hey guys,
Looking for an affordable billet set upper and lower, I know of their weakness but they look so nice. Any suggestions? Not looking to totally break the bank I've seen some, out of stock, for 275-350. |
| Well you can try Joe Bob's Spartan line, I think they are about 250 for the set, but most times one or the other of the receivers is out of stock. CMT and Mega seem to be right around 400 and are very good. Also you can check out Ascend Armory, before you let the 490 scare you, there are alot of features included that you would not have to buy separately. Just a few off the top of my head. Happy shootin. Can you guys give me some sources for the CMT an the Mega, I am not finding them, all I find is "out of stock" I really appreciate it guys!!!! You all are the best. |
| I have looked at the Noreen receivers. I know they build some great rifles with a great rep. I almost bought a set of their receivers till I realized they were 6061. I would go for 7075 forged before 6061 billet. Then 7075 billet would be the top imo but those receiver sets are usually 400+. |

That one looks really crazy, but also looks solid. I would like to have the one from Joe Bob's or Ascend. |
