| I am piecing together my AR build and looking for a good recommendation for a Stainless Steel Barrel, non fluted with a mid length gas system. Preferably 16" with a 1:8 twist. Does anyone have any recommendations??? |

DaveP1, I saw the PSA one yesterday. Any reason one should be hesitant about a $99 barrel? Every single other barrel I've found has been at least a $200 minimun The two that I picked up were $79 bucks each, mid length and they shoot just fine, didn't have to pay any shipping on them either, they are 16" barrels and I am happy with them. I see nothing wrong and they hit where I point them. |

Green Mountain has my vote. $187.
link I have quite a few GM barrels and they are very good shooters, especially the stainless barrels. |

This. I just built my rifle length AR using one of their barrels and it's a great barrel.

| For price, accuracy and value, you really can't beat a BA barrel, I own several of them, they just happen to be out of the barrel I was looking for when I pulled the trigger on the PSA stainless barrels, but they are turning out to be good as well, but when I go looking I normally stop on the BA website first. |

Lots of our stainless stuff is back in stock now .
But if anyone is planning to pull the trigger on one of our stainless barrels, you might consider waiting a just couple days

Does anyone have any recommendations??? What level of accuracy are you seeking? What weight (barrel profile) do you prefer? Lilja and Kreiger make custom match grade 416 stainless barrels in 1:8 with Wylde chambers in various profiles and lengths, chambered, barrel extensions attached and torqued, and hand-lapped, ready to drop in. My Lilja shoots down in the .4s with handloaded Berger match bullets in Lapua match cases, if I can avoid screwing things up. Kreiger barrels will be equal, maybe even better, depending on individual barrel variations. These barrels are better than most of us, myself included, are capable of consistently shooting. My 16" Lilja non-fluted Recce match barrel was $480, though, if I recall. I saved up for it. Worth every penny, IMHO. |
