Do i get the 14.5" lightweight barrel that is cold hammer forged or do i get the medium weight semi fluted 14.5" barrel that's not chf. It's 40$ cheaper fro the medium weight fluted barrel. I'm trying to keep the build somewhat light but want it to be bullet proof as well. The lightweight CHF has a .625 diameter for gas block and the medium weight has a .750. Not that it really matters. Also, i can't get a weight on the lightweight barrel but the medium weight comes in at 1lb 10oz. Just looking for some opinions and experiences. Gotta say the fluted barrel looks pretty bad ass lol

Either one will be just as durable honestly. I paid the extra and went hammer forged.

I'd go for the lighter profile. Chf is another plus.

Edit- I like a lighter barrel because;
when I'm at the range for a while, shooting standing up, doing ready up and multiple target drills my arms get tired. If you take a class a well balanced rifle is a huge +. Holding a nose heavy rifle out for 5 hours sucks. Actually it's still fun but...
