Hey Folks,
Been doing a lot of reading on triggers and from that and shooting I am starting to learn what I want…to a degree. I am building a new AR and rebuilding another. 1.Rebuilt build is getting a 20inch wylde barrel and already has a single stage Timney Trigger. More of a long range gun, it will spend its life shooting from a bench. 2.The new build is going to be a 14.5 faxom barrel with pinned epsilon break. I WAS going to us a Geissele 2 Stage (G2S) Trigger and ordered the enhanced springs to help it out a bit. This build is more for carbine classes, home defense, and some range shooting. Here is the issue: I am thinking about doing a trigger swap. Putting the Timney trigger in the new build and using the 2 stage in the rebuild (range gun). What do you guys think? I know a two stage is supposed to be better for precision shooting (hence my thinking for the long range gun), but the Timney is so sweet…however its only single stage. Of course the G2S is cheaper and perhaps not the same quality as the Timney. So should I move the Timney to the carbine class/home defense gun or just put the G2S with enhanced springs in it? |
