I am wondering, I have seen pictures of Colt lowers that are not completely milled between the rear shelf and the FCG pocket, if you are not building a lower for full auto use, do you really need to mill this web out, seems to me if Colt was commercially sell those without the milling done on the rear shelf, I would think I don't have to?  I already own several full auto guns and this gun is for my wife, so I know she doesn't want a machine gun, this is just a .300 Black to plink with and maybe deer hunt.

Any opinions?

I believe that as long as it is milled enough that the upper will close and the trigger and hammer have enough room to move that you are GTG.  I've heard that some people, especially on poly lowers like to leave the little web in place.  They just mill the front part of the pocket and leave the rear part milled out only as much as the makers do the 80% provided that their upper fits or only mill it the minimum necessary.

Thanks, I was just wondering, I have installed and did a function check on everything and it seems to be good to go, although I am really familiar with these guns, the perspective changes when you are actually milling and building them to as to function, just figured I would get some opinions before final assembly.  I know there are a heck of a lot of guys on here with lots more experience than I when it comes to milling and building these things.
