I have cerakoted several rifles and pistols of my own. I have gotten fairly comfortable coating and decided to go to the next level. This is it. I used Magpul FDE for the base and Patriot Brown, Magpul ODG and Armor Black. I'm really happy the way it turned out, but I now understand why people charge so much. I have approximately 5 hours into the entire project.

The build list is;
Aero Percision upper/lower
Aero upper/lower parts kit
AAC 300 Blackout barrel
AIM nitride BCG
ALG ACT trigger (not installed in picture)
Magpul MOE stock/grip
Troy Alpha Rail
Burris PEPR QD mount
Nikon Prostaff 2-7x

Looks awesome!

Do you have to be a professional painter to pull this off?

I'm far from a professional painter and I did it in my garage.

What did you use for a stencil?

I had a friend who does vinyl stickers draw and cut them for me. They had a backer which made them easy to apply.

From what I see, you should start your own Cerakote business!

That is awesome!
