| After a few searches, I see the three methods are testors paint, crayon, and nail polish. My lower is cerakoted (FDE). Would the cerakote happen to make any difference in which product I apply? |

Crayon would be the easiest to remove, if you wanted to test it out and see if you like it first. Testors' would be your best bet for a more permanent coloring. I would think that as long as there is a texture to the engravings, cerakote or not, the testors should adhere just fine. |
| FWIW: Testor's and nail polish are essentially the same things, enamel pain, just packaged for different uses. I have used wax pencil, which is essentially the same thing as crayon. to the original question, no. Cerakote vs. anodized vs. rattle can spray paint doesn't affect which product you use for it. Either forgiving and temporary with wax, or more permanent (even mistakes are more permanent) with enamel. |

I probably originated one of those threads.
I used testors enamel to paint a couple dots (not filling in engraved markings as I assume you are). FWIW the testors is not really that permanent... got a little brake cleaner on it and it wiped right off. After my new duracoat job dries, I am simply going to put on a couple simple adhesive dots and wick some ca (super glue) around the edges for permanence. Quoted:
