Beside my components to my build and tools, is there anything like a specific oil, loctite or anything I need for my 1st build?  I just about have all the parts to my build and the tools but was wondering if I needed anything else that you all know about but I never picked up on as I'm new to this.  Thanks for replies.

Some Aeroshell 33 (sourced from eBay) used on the barrel nut will make you feel pretty professional.

I got my 5ml Aeroshell 33 on eBay for $0.99 plus a few dollars shipping. Too cheap to not have on the build bench.

Is the barrel nut the only place to use this stuff?  Buffer tube nut?

A 1/4" clevis pin makes installing the front takedown pin detent and spring easier.  Insert pin, rotate so you can insert the spring and detent, rotate pin 90 degrees to capture the detent and pin, then carefully push the clevis pin out by inserting the takedown pin.

I've seen guys use it on the barrel extension.  Mine is super tight so I plan on greasing it up.
