I have been lurking for a while but just joined last week. Not new to guns but I am new to AR's. I am a DIY kind of guy so I thought why not build and have it exactly the way I want. This site has helped me a ton the last couple months as I've started gathering parts. I think I'm going to go with patriot brown upper, lower, and rail with FDE furniture. I'll mostly be using it to play with around the farm.
Here is my list so far. Anderson lower CMMG lpk stag trigger (a fellow I know replaced this trigger with a high end trigger so I'll see how I like it) Magpul pistol grip and stock in FDE Magpul flip up sights And have already started gathering some magazines I also found some used vice blocks and other tools online for about a 1/3 price of new Obviously, I don't have any upper parts yet. I'm planning for mid length gas with 16" barrel. I may eventually go to a red dot optic but that will be a long way off. I don't want to call it a budget gun but I am certainly not going top dollar either. Thanks for all the help I've got so far from lurking and I look forward to learning more. |
