I'm building an long range upper (under 1 moa) being my criteria  In. 556. I'm going to use a yhmw (just a thought i will not take suggestions aswell on this). Low profile gas block and round pri.gen III hand guard. Weight isn't a bid deal but reliable accuracy and ruggedness/rust proof/barrel life is very import...price is not as big of a deal...buy once cry once type and I'm going to get the perfect one... so here is my question... I want an 18 inch and I don't know about twist rates and gas length...I want to shoot 55 to 75 gr. And want the muzzle to be threaded... what are top 10 brands twists and lengths for that set up that have a head spaced bolt that comes with it.  Also what works as a good scope mount that's a one piece (tings& riser) that mount on a pic rail for quick on and off and no rezero

Your looking for 1 MOA, my recommendation is a Larue barrel and trigger they have on sale right now:

It will work fine with a BCG from AIM surplus or PSA.

I have their 20" barrel and I shot this group with it last week:

Load is 23.5gr of Varget pushing a 77gr SMK

You can also see my .68 MOA average entry that is number 7 on the MOA all day challenge.  Multiple Larue barrels have been shot for the MOA challenge and they consistently perform very well.

For twist, I would recommend the 1:8 twist, followed by 1:7.  Either should work well for 55gr to 77gr (and even 80gr if you want to single load).

For a QD mount, I like the Larue and Bobro mounts.

I'm in the same boat as you looking to build an SPR and so far this is what I've come up with

Rainier Ultra match and SPR barrels on Rock Creek or Shilen blanks

Compass Lake engineering match barrels using Douglas,Bartlein,Krieger

White Oak SDM

I'm leaning more towards a 20" barrel and no slower than 1 in 8 twist.

7 or 8 twist and rifle gas.

And a Geissele rail.

White Oak Armament will confirm  headspace with your bolt if you buy your barrel and bolt carrier group from them.
