| I have a magpul STR stock (milspec) and need help pairing a buffer tube with it that will have tight fit and be black in color and not grayish.I would like to get a Vltor but am confused about which one I need. Anyone else have an Str stock and if so what buffer tube are you using? Thanks |

I really like Damage Industries mil-spec buffer tubes. They are nice and tight on Magpul ACS stocks, even before locking down and they are "black" black.
Currently they are running a 25% off sale on lower parts with promo code AR25. Their enhanced buffer springs take out "twang", too. http://damageindustriesllc.com/ |
| I used a handful of brands until I tried BCM. Since then, I only buy BCM. They are well finished and seem to make assembly go easier....for example I don't seem to have issues with the stock being cocked off to one side and never any need to do any dremeling or filing to fit the buffer retainer pin. Most importantly though, they are milspec in size AND material(7075). Many companies will call their tubes milspec while they're only milspec in size and not material. |
| I'm using the STR or CTR (milspec) on 4 different lowers. I went ahead and bought a Rainier Arms buffer kit (tube, spring, castle nut & buffer) and I liked it so much that I bought 2 more last year when I found them on sale for $50 each, normally $80 each. Then again last month I ordered my 4th kit, on sale for $68 shipped. They are all very black and have that dry film lube inside. |
