Decide which grip you want, lots of places kit up lpk with different grips and the prices of the complete lpk with grip are pretty good. I bought two RRA lpk from the lgs before really thinking about it, already had Magpul complete furniture sets, so I have two spare A2 style grips laying around.
Don't sweat the bcg. Either it's in spec and will work fine, or you get unlucky and have tolerance stacking and it won't work. My two, a buddy's and another friend's AR all went together just fine no issues. I went with standard phosphate finish, nothing sexy about the part, it needs to be the right material and the right heat treat and that's pretty much it. Barrel is where the money is if you want something special. I went with the inexpensive Anderson stuff so far, works fine. More expensive barrels might shoot straighter than you, mine are fine for minute of dessert plate at 100yards which might be better than my eyes right now. No optics, just Magpul Pro buis. |
