I have a question about measuring overall barrel length.
From where to where on the barrel do you measure? Do you measure from the end of the barrel extension to the end of the barrel (or in my case, pinned muzzle device)? The reason I ask is because I bought a 14.5 voodoo barrel with a pinned manimal flash hider and it seems short. When I hold it next to my 16" faxon barrel it is about 1/8" shorter. I am wondering if the faxon barrel is like 16.1" or if my voodoo barrel is short. Since it is the difference between being a felon and maintaining my liberty, I would like to know exactly how to measure the barrel to put my mind at ease. You would think a barrel pinned from the manufacturer would be GTG but this one has me wondering... |
| Everything I have read it is from the bolt face to the end of the barrel or flash hider in your case. I used a small dowel rod to measure mine. I measured and marked 16 inches on the dowel rod then dropped it down the bore. On both of mine the line dropped below the end of the flash her so I was gtg. |
