This is as far as a gas tube will insert into two new gas blocks I just received.  I have already talked with the seller to arrange returns, just want to get ARFCOM's opinion on return or sand down either the gas tube or inside of block.  I'm heavily leaning to return.

On that note, what is ARFCOM's recommended Adjustable Gas Block? Both for a 12" 5.56 SBR (Carbine) and a 18" .308 Midlength.  Both will be suppressed.

This one of the cheap $30 ones? I bought a Red Barn Armory one, it is terrible.

Easier to polish the gas tube down than the hole, but I'd return it.

I had to sand my tube down some to fit in my SLR block. They offered to take it back but I was ready to shoot the gun. I just chucked the receiver end into a low rpm drill and used one of the sanding sponges folded on it. I'd rather it be tight fitting than loose fitting.

Yup. Radical Firearms bought on sale for $25 from Primary Arms.
Thing is, one of the gas tubes is from Radical Firearms also, and still does not fit!

Luckily PA is taking care of me... Great customer service.

I was looking on Brownells for replacements... How is the Syrac Gen II?  Worth the $100?  Looks like it is adjustable from the front, which is a plus (right?)

SLR is the choice for adjustable gas blocks.

I like my JP low-profile adjustable.

I missed that sale by a few days.  Eventually bought a third Seekins.  Seems they had a design change somewhere down the road and now they can be adjusted normally (out the front, no rail removal).  For $55 its a pretty affordable gas block and none of mine have given me any trouble.
