I'm putting together an spr with a Wilson Combat 18" 5.56 1/8 twist.  I was about to order some additional parts and thought I might add one of their Accu-Tak's for it.  I already have an extra bird cage laying around and could just use that and save the money.  On the other hand, I could add the Accu Tak to the order now and save on the shipping later, should I choose to upgrade.  Is there that much advantage to one of these to justify the extra 30 or so dollars over that cheap A2 cage?

JMHO but I think aftermarket flash hiders are a waste of money compared to an A2, UNLESS your are getting one as a suppressor mount.

Muzzle brakes do certainly serve a purpose, but I still tend to drift back towards the A2 (in part because I'm a cheapskate ) unless I'm using it again as a suppressor mount.

A2 really is a fantastic design..

I only drift away from it when I'm looking to be able to mount a suppressor
OR
need a brake to assist in recoil
